FAQ

What is the dress code?
All delegates should wear a Formal Attire.Female participants are expected to wear blouses/shirts with trousers/knee-length skirts or dresses.Male participants are expected to wear shirts with suit pants with a necktie or a bow tie.
All the guests are expected to wear blazer jackets and all-black or all-white or appropriate business dress shoes.


What is important to be accepted?
Your experiences and English level is important for your acceptance. For all delegates, especially first timers, we encourage you to write your motivation letters carefully.


How many committees are there, and what topics will they cover?

We have six diverse committees: SOCHUM, UNHCR, DISEC, UNSC, UNEP, and JCC. Each committee will address a unique set of topics ranging from human rights to environmental sustainability and international security.


Is there a Turkish committee?
We do not have a Turkish committee in our conference. If you have any doubts, we recommend you to take a look at our beginner committees!


Is blazer a must?
Yes it is. You may take it off in case but you must wear your blazer while giving a speech.


Where can I find the schedule?
You can find our schedule on our website.


Is it possible to looking at our phone during the session?
Using your phones during moderated caucuses is prohibited. The chairboard will warn you if they catch you. If you need a translator, instead of looking from your phone, you can send notes to chairboard to ask or ask for points if needed.


Is this conference suitable for beginners?

Of course! BİLKAMUN welcomes delegates of all experience levels. Our academic and organizational team ensures guidance for first-time delegates and engaging content for experienced ones.


Are meals provided during the conference?
Yes, meals and refreshments will be provided. They are included in the conference fee.


Is speaking English mandatory?
Yes, either in moderated or unmoderated caucuses, the official language is English. If you want you can talk Turkish in the coffee breaks.
